Eight boxes -- P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W -- are stacked one on top of another in a single pile, not necessarily in this order. Each box is a different color among Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black, White, Orange, and Purple. Position 1 is the bottommost box and position 8 is the topmost box.

Box P is at the bottom of the pile, and is Red. Box Q is immediately above Box P, and is Blue. Exactly five boxes are above Box R, which is Green. Box S is immediately above Box R, and is Yellow. Box T is immediately above Box S, and is Black. Box U is immediately above Box T, and is White. Box W is at the very top of the pile. Box V, which is Orange, is immediately below Box W.
