Glasgow 2026 marked India's most successful Commonwealth Games para campaign yet, with the country's para athletes winning seven medals in total, three gold, two silver, and two bronze, matching India's combined para medal tally from every previous Commonwealth Games edition put together. Para athletics alone accounted for six of these seven medals, three gold, two silver, and one bronze, ending a 20-year wait for an Indian para athletics podium finish at the Commonwealth Games.

Among the three gold medals in para athletics, Dilip Gavit won the men's 100m T47 title, while Sharmila Dhankar and Soman Rana both won gold in the shot put F57 category, in the women's and men's events respectively. The seventh and final para medal came from para powerlifting, where Jhandu Kumar won bronze in the men's heavyweight category, the sole medal winner among the seven Indians who competed in that discipline at Glasgow.

Notably, judo is not classified as a para sport at these Games; it is contested separately as part of the Commonwealth Games' regular able-bodied sports programme, where India also had a strong showing, winning three medals of its own, including its first-ever Commonwealth Games judo gold medals.
