The 52nd G7 Summit was held from 15 to 17 June 2026 in Évian-les-Bains, a spa town in the Haute-Savoie region of France, making Évian the first French town to host a G7 or G8 leaders' summit twice, having previously hosted the G8 Summit in 2003. The summit's core participants were the seven G7 members, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, alongside the European Union, with France holding the 2026 presidency.

Beyond its core membership, the summit's Outreach Session invited five additional countries to participate in discussions on global priorities: Brazil, Egypt, India, Kenya, and the Republic of Korea. Prime Minister Narendra Modi represented India at the summit, using the platform to highlight the concerns of the Global South, including greater participation of developing and middle-income countries in global decision-making, and to hold bilateral meetings with several partner countries on trade, investment, security, and energy cooperation.

The G7 itself functions as an informal grouping without a treaty-based foundation, permanent secretariat, or headquarters, operating instead through an annual presidency system in which the host country sets priorities. Collectively, the G7 economies account for about 10% of the world's population and approximately 43% of global nominal GDP. Following France's 2026 presidency, the United States is set to host the 53rd G7 Summit in 2027.
